Catching Up With
The Adairs

Here is the way we spent a few days after Christmas 2012. Christmas was nice but the big present came three days after, with this little bundle of joy and cheer blessing our life and making me a "Meme".
Rocklyn Grace entered our lives in the early morning hours on Dec. 28th. Congratulations to my beautiful daughter and her handsome husband for producing such an extremely gorgeous baby girl. Our first grandbaby our little sweetling.

I myself have decided to seriously endeavor to finish my novel "The Kilted" incase anyone is interested it is a period piece of semi historical fiction. It takes place in the Highlands of Scotland at turn of the 17th century. I enjoy writing it but like any writer there are periods of time when I need a break, and mine was basically in March when Kerry and I were in a hit-and-run accident. We were left once more without a car, and since the we had (liability) did not cover anything the hospital bills as well, but we look on the bright side, we are alive, the children weren't in the car, and we're starting over again from scratch. Here is the website for my book incase anyone is interested in checking it out.

"The BIG YEAR!!!"
2011-2012

Okay it has been over a year since I have blogged and a lot of really important things have happened. One of them is on July 9, of last year my middle offspring Kenzlee Anne became engaged to a rough and tumble cowboy by the name of Logan Rogers, a little unexpected, but hey if you're going to do it why not do it all in the same year. LOL So Kenzlee graduated from College with her teaching degree in Early Childhood Education and with in a month was hired on as a first grade teacher and within the next month was engaged and within the same year was married on

It was such a special experience one I shall never forget. I could feel my mother near and so happy and full of joy for Kenzlee and Logan I know my mother is very proud of them. I wish Logan could have met her.

We now at the end of December of 2012 are expecting our first Grandchild A little girl: Roclyn Grace Rogers

What Comes Next???

What comes next? Well in January my first son, second child turned a quarter of a century old. Hard to believe. Then came Valentine's Day, not super eventful but it was a nice day. St. Patricks Day slipped by hardly noticed this year, especially since I was smart enough to wear green, and Kaci couldn't pinch me....hahaha....the old girl is getting wiser in her maturing age.
We do have a few events coming up though. In April Kaci will no longer be a teenager which means that I will only have one teenager left in this family. Should I shout hoooray, or mourn the fact that those fun zanie years of high school, football games, proms, teenage drama, and everything that goes with it will be a part of my past. Just one little teenager will be left to suffer through acne, girl trouble angst, and boy drama...haven't done that one in a while.
Easter will also be in April my favorite holiday....I love Easter for its true celebration, but before that General Conference which always sets the Easter Holiday off in a good direction. Helping us to keep in mind the "Atonement" and "Resurrection" of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Finally in May the end of school, and I mean truly "the end of School" for Kenzlee....hmmmm or should I call it the beginning of school for Kenzlee considering she will be graduating in Early Childhood Education and moving on from being a college senior back to pre-k....there's just something wrong with that scenerio isn't there? Just kidding, we are so proud of our girl our first "college graduate" and sending up big prayers that she'll find employment in her field in the fall.
Kindra has actually changed her major from "Interior Design" to "Architecture". I think it's a good judgement call on her part. Tanner is looking for employment and hopefully that will be changing really soon. Kaci will still be able to enjoy another year or so in High School, and Keller will be moving up a grade in Junior High School he has actually survived his first year of being officially graduated from Elementary School.
So this little catch up should last me for a couple of months....I'm not very good at the blogging thing.

It's been soooo LONG

There is no way I can catch up with everything that has happened in the last 9 months but we are doing okay.

Sad experiences, happy experiences they've all happened to us in the last year.

In November Grandpa "A's" health started to decline very rapidly, mostly I think because of strokes and falls. He was so bad just before Christmas that he couldn't walk and had to go into a nursing home for a week or so. It was so sad not having him at Grandma "A's" for Christmas even though we did not have our usual Christmas Eve celebration until after Christmas. He came home but things were never the same for him and he finally passed away at home in January.

We all miss him very much, but know he is with our Heavenly Father and whole and strong again, helping us all out from the other side.

The family is about the same, but it was fun to see....
Kindra and her boyfriend Nick in March. We hadn't seen her for almost two years, and we miss her very much. She is going to school and working in Portland, Oregon, and she is majoring in Interior Design. She seems to really like it.

Tanner is still helping Grandma Lee with her daily tasks we celebrated his 24th birthday in January, just can't believe how fast the time has past. We love our Tan Man and hope he knows that. Although alot of people call him Kerry now he will always be Tanner to his family.

Kenzlee is busy with her last year of academic study at ASU this year. As of August she will begin her student teaching at an elementary school in Scottsdale. Wow...it seems like a long time and yet it only seems like yesterday since she graduated from high school and next May she'll be graduating from College. She will be 22 in September another hard to believe she is already there. She is so busy studying and working, with both her internship, and tutoring. Not to mention she has started a side job of making craft items and selling them in boutiques. They are really cute items we hope it goes well for her at this time when finals are upon her.

Kaci is busy at home and school. She is doing really well she enjoys drawing so much and hopes to become some type of artist some day. She works at it almost every day and received a lighted desktop for Christmas and she really enjoys that because it helps her to duplicate her drawings. School is going well she even took driver's ed this semester of course mostly just to learn about traffic safety; it doesn't include behind the wheel so no worries she won't be behind the wheel except in simulation.

Keller has been very busy with school and friends and piano. He played soccer again last fall and enjoyed it. They did really well, and had a great coach who helped them achieve. Keller is becoming quite the little pianist he had a Christmas recital and did a combination with his trumpet and piano...with the song "Pata Pata Pan". I can believe he will be in junior high next year it is making us feel really old. He loves his scouting and is doing really well with that as well. He earned his first class scout and we are very proud of him.

Dad is working hard he had a bought with a staff infection and was off work for three weeks, and that was hard and he was in a lot of pain. But he seems to have healed quite well and we are looking for brighter days to come.

Mom has been working really hard on gardening and trying to keep the outside looking the way the Prophet's have asked us to. The grass has been really green this winter and full so it's fun to look at, and don't fall over anyone but yes the flower garden is in and blooming. It still needs a little more work, but it's coming along. Tackling the side and back yards make take a bit more time and getting the white trim painted on the house. A bit of writing mingled with a bit of videography when the opportunity arises keeps Mom busy.

Grandma "A" seems to be keeping herself really busy she was able to go up to Utah to see David, Stephanie and the kids, and babysit while they took a vacation. She said she had a great time with the kids.

Grandma Lee has been having a few struggles, but for someone who will be 90 years old on her next birthday I think she is doing really well. We celebrated her 89th birthday this year in March and Debbie's family and ours gave her a cd player and the triple combination on cd's her eyesight not being what it used to be it's getting harder for her to read.

We lost our cat Patch this last fall and so our little kitten Shadow has now become the man of the house and is no longer a kitten. Although he only can use three legs he gets around quite well. Sadee is still a character and I've never seen a smarter dog and she has grown up so much this last year she has no traces of puppy on the outside anymore.

Well that is it for the so belated update on our family.

(((((((Hugs))))))) all around!

Back to School

Well this last couple of weeks has been eventful. Kaci and Keller went back to school on the 12th of August and Kenzlee starts on the 24th tomorrow.
Keller had a birthday this past week and now will become a deacon. We are very proud of him he received his Faith in God award and now will be a full fledged Boy Scout as well and will be working towards his Duty to God and Eagle, Keller earned his Religious knot and his Arrow of Light in cubscouts so he can have those on his Boyscout uniform. He also starts soccer this next week and is very excited some of his best buddies will be on his team.
Kaci is enjoying her new painting class and is taking ceramics again this year. She brought home a few great projects last year and looking forward to more in the upcoming one.
Kenzlee will be inducted in September to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars....we're excited for her and hope she continues on her road to success.
Grandma Lee is out of the hospital and seems to be improving each day. We are very grateful for all our blessings this past month thank our Heavenly Father she is still with us, and are also grateful to all those who kept her in their thoughts and prayers.

Wow.....we have had tons happen in our family since the last blog update. We've had 3 birthdays and one special birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Flag Day and the 4th of July.
Kenzlee's best friend Brittany had her first baby, a boy named Will, cutest little dickens you ever saw, and his blessing was just this past Sunday exciting times for the LeSueur's and Oaklief families not to mention all their other friends and family.

Kenzlee has taken a huge step in her life and left the nest, moved into an apartment with some other LDS girls, and I think she enjoys it alot.
Let's see other events that have happened this summer are Keller went to a soccer camp in June and also attended band camp.

We also acquired a new youngest member of the family Shadow Vista (Shadow) so Sadee is no longer the baby, here is our new little one thanks to our wonderful daughter Kenzlee who felt the need to share him with us before she left home.....hahaha.

We had Grandpa A's bday party this last Saturday and everyone had a great time especially the kids with the cool water slide that Grandma A always rents they spent the whole afternoon enjoying playing and laughing in the water w/ their cousins on the Adair side.

Unfortunately Grandma Lee my mother is in the hospital right now so anyone that is inclined to do so please keep her in your prayers. She has been in since last Tuesday w/ pneumonia and having a bit of a struggle with it.

With Love,
The Adairs

P.S. And oh yes we had our house painted....do miracles never cease!
